Research Assistant, University of Toronto, May 2017 - August 2017

  • Performed research in the Dynamic Graphics Project lab, to develop and evaluate a web application that assists researchers in the literature review workflow
  • Conducted formative interviews to gather information about academics current methods of performing bibliography searches and literature reviews
  • Developed web application using Node.js framework that allowed someone to conduct each part of the literature review workflow holistically, and move between different phases of literature review and analysis smoothly
  • Conducted think-aloud user-testing observing the usage of our newly developed web application, with follow-up interviews discussing usage experience

Junior Software Developer, University of Toronto, May 2016 - August 2016

  • Developed full-stack features for the open-source MarkUs platform using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL. 
  • Built front-end and back-end functionality supporting assignment submission, grading, and code review workflows. 
  • Collaborated with developers to implement and maintain production features for a large-scale educational web application. 

Software Developer, WaveDNA, May 2015 - August 2015

  •  Developed front-end features in Java for Liquid Harmony, an interactive music composition application enabling users to create and edit melodies through a graphical interface. 
  • Collaborated within an Agile/Scrum team of software developers, designers, audio engineers, and product leadership to deliver new product functionality. 
  • Contributed to UI implementation and feature development for a user-facing creative software product.
